JAK - Unacceptable Items Introduction

At JAK, we are committed to ensuring your shipments are handled smoothly, securely, and in full compliance with both international and Saudi regulations. Certain items are restricted or prohibited from being shipped due to safety, cultural, or legal considerations. To avoid delays, penalties, or confiscations, please review this list carefully before placing your orders.

Items not allowed from Origin: USA & Turkey

UEI has a list of items that are either prohibited or restricted for shipment to Saudi Arabia due to various factors, including regulatory, cultural, and safety considerations.

Prohibited Items

Religious materials offensive to Islam: e.g., Bibles, media displaying the female anatomy.
Pornographic materials and sexually suggestive items: e.g., sex toys, pornographic media.
Alcohol and items containing alcohol: e.g., liquor, perfumes with alcohol, alcohol production products.
Narcotics and illegal drugs: e.g., marijuana, substances not FDA approved but listed by DEA.
Weapons and related items: e.g., firearms, ammunition, knives, replicas, military equipment, toy weapons.
Pork and pork products.
Gambling items: e.g., lottery tickets, gambling devices.
Counterfeit goods.
Political/military material concerning the Kingdom’s policies.
Items offensive to Saudi Royal family, politics, traditions.
Radioactive materials.
Dangerous Goods: e.g., flammables, explosives, poisons, infectious substances.

Restricted Items

Medicines (require prescription/approval, should be hand-carried).
Foodstuffs (e.g., candy, tea; prohibited).
DVDs/CDs (restricted, may cause delays).
Books/media (may require censorship approval).
Chemicals and harmful materials (require approval).
Wireless equipment (e.g., radio-controlled devices, long-range phones).
Antiques/archaeological artifacts (require authorization).
Live animals (require approval).
Agricultural seeds and plants (require approval).
Used clothing.
Cars older than 5 years, salvaged, police/taxi/rental cars not allowed.

Below are the general unacceptable commodities and shipment limitations from Italy.

Important Regulations

National ID or Residency Number is required to clear shipments.
All non-document express shipments to KSA are subject to 15% VAT on goods value. Shipments with a declared value above SAR 1,000 (equivalent to USD 270) will be treated as normal cargo shipments and require formal customs clearance.

Important Regulations

National ID or Residency Number is required to clear shipments.

Shipments containing motors, magnets, or pumps require magnetic inspection before export.

Used & Restricted Items: Used clothing, sculptures, restricted vehicles.
